Whimsical Retro-Inspired Teapots from Blue Sky Clayworks

You’ve heard it before, but I’m going to say it again, I LOVE tea! I have such a hard time not buying anything and everything related to tea. You can probably imagine my excitement when I saw these Retro-Inspired Teapots from Blue Sky Clayworks on Etsy. These are so cute and unique I had to show you guys. The store is fairly new too, so over time there should be lots of new products! Come take a look.

My favorite out of all the teapots is this Roller Skate Tea Pot. I think it’s probably because they took away my favorite skating rink not too long ago! Have you guys seen a teapot like this one? I don’t think I have. Plus it brings me back to the good times when I was a kid. I used to stay out really late at night roller skating around my neighborhood. Plus some of my greatest dates were at a roller rink! I can’t pick what color I want, because I love both of them.

This Crown Teapot is really cute. I do like teapots with a lot of texture. Again, I really enjoy both the blue and the pink so it would be a hard choice. Unfortunately, I’ve seen lots of teapots like this one, so it’s not my first pick.

I about died when I saw this Typewriter Teapot. This is one of a kind for sure. Writing, tea, and retro all combines makes one amazing product! This is just calling out my name. The only problem I have is that is seems like it would handle awkwardly. Though, I know if I was determined, I could overcome the shape. No one would ever expect this to be a teapot!

I am going let you all in a little secret, I absolutely love bulldogs. This Classic American Bulldog Teapot is very precious. The teapot might be the closest thing to having a bulldog because I travel too much to own a dog.

Check out these Retro-Inspired Teapots from Blue Sky Clayworks. Which style is your favorite? Keep in mind, this is a new store. New styles and designs are bound to come out in the future, so keep an eye out!

Retro Americana 3D Puzzles

It's amazing to think that America actually has some retro architecture. There are some places where history still lingers. Unlike Europe, it seems that America likes to knock things down and start all over. Hopefully we can learn to integrate the old with the new at some point.

These 3D Puzzles on Amazon are pretty amazing replicas of good ol' American buildings we see today.

This American Flavor - Fast Food Restaurant 3D Puzzle is my favorite. So many old movies and pictures are centered around old fashioned fast food restaurants. Don't you think it would be fun to play with paper dolls at this fast food restaurant? It's perfect!

I hate to say it, but this American Motel 3D Jigsaw Puzzle reminds me of horror films. I didn't realize how much of a negative stigma older style motels actually have! Stereotypes aside, from a puzzle standpoint this is actually quite amazing. The motel is full of fun little details such as the signs. It might be possible to use this as a doll house.

Speaking of detail, this Gas Station 3D Jigsaw Puzzle is absolutely stunning. I almost didn't even recognize it as a puzzle! Not only that, but it is definitely a replica of old American gas stations! I love how authentic the font and signs look. I've only seen a handful of older gas stations in person. Unfortunately they were never in working condition.

I think that we sometimes forget our colorful Western background! That is why I really can appreciate this American Flavor - Western Bar 3D Puzzle. The bar is very cool and full of fun details. I wish I could find a whole Western Puzzle Town. I'm sure my saloon girls would get up to a lot of mischief.

Which one is your favorite? Tell me about it down below in the comments.

My 5 Current Favorite Mid-Century Chip and Dip Bowls on Etsy

With Cinco de Mayo coming up, my mind is on chips, guacamole, and salsa lately! I'm enjoying browsing Etsy for mid-century modern chip and dip sets to peruse.

Turquoise is my favorite color, so I'm barely able to restrain myself from buying this lovely turquoise Atomic chip and dip bowl set!

I absolutely adore the harlequin diamonds on this chip and dip set.

Blendo made the most gorgeous cocktail and appetizer serving pieces during the 1950s! I love how the little dip bowl clips onto the top of the bigger one. It's amazing how many of these survived - it seems like it would be easy to break either the dip bowl or the hanger.

A lot of my relatives had Anchor Hocking pieces in their homes. Here's an avocado green chip and dip set. I love the curvy shapes!

This apple chip and dip set is something my mother would have loved. I feel like it's more late 60s early 70s than the other pieces.

After looking at all these, I'm now craving French onion dip too! How about you?

Fabulous Antique Pink Typewriters on eBay

I've always had a thing for pink typewriters. They have so much style and are so much fun! Typewriters in general are really enjoyable to type on. I've never been so satisfied pressing the "." key in my life. Even so, I am very glad we have computers - otherwise, my typos would drive me nuts!

These vintage pink typewriters on eBay would be great for any collector or for an avid writer who loves to write old school style.

Wow, this Bubblegum Pink Typewriter is in amazing shape. This is a repainted mid 1950's typewriter. It's in working condition! It would be so fun to bring this in to work or just have it at home. The color is definitely my favorite part.

I love how small and compact this Vintage Pink German Typewriter seems. I can see how it would be handy to have one of these if you were a writer back in the day. It would be so convenient to take with you to wherever you needed to go.

Unlike the first typewriter I showed, this Rare Hot Pink Typewriter is not repainted. Isn't this in amazing condition? This is my number one pick out of all the typewriters. Plus, who could resist the brightness of this hot pink color?

This Vintage Bubblegum Pink Royal Typewriter the same brand as the former. If you're more into a muted look, this would be a great choice for you. The best part about this typewriter is that the bell still dings at the very end! That chime is one of the greatest sounds.

This Vintage Voss Pink Portable Typewriter is very cute and petite. Also, the pink on this one looks pearly. I also really love the carrying case that comes with the typewriter. If this were being designed nowdays, it might be called "color blocked."

Take a look at the other vintage pink typewriters on eBay and find one that suits your taste. This is a great gift for collectors, writers, or decorators. Which typewriter is your favorite and why? Tell me about it!

Gorgeous Retro Themed Crafting Fabrics from Robert Kaufman

I really wish I was the sewing kind of person. My aunt is actually a fabulous seamstress and I look for new fabric for her almost all the time. I thought she would really appreciate these and I think you guys would too. Robert Kaufman has a variety of retro fabrics that would make for a nice gift.

My aunt really loves "spool art". The Vintage Couturier from Robert Kaufman - Beige Spools would be a really cute gift. I understand she's a seamstress, but I personally don't get the love for "spool art". This design is very cute though.

Oddly enough, I really do love this Vintage Couturier from Robert Kaufman - Antique Buttons fabric. It's sad, but I feel that coats or shirts now a day really don't have the character that they did in the past. I do believe that buttons really give outfits a bunch of character and vintage buttons had it down perfectly. This my long rambling for why I like this particular fabric!

After a little more searching, I found this gem! Now this 1/2 YARD Vintage Couturier Fabric by Robert Kaufman would be absolutely perfect for my crazy aunt! It shows all the great aspects of sewing in one fabric. I also think the antique look will be appreciated.

This Robert Kaufman Vintage Wine Bottles is my favorite fabric out of all of them. Wine and retro are some of my favorite things and having them combined is a bonus! I would love to be able to hang this on my wall for decoration!

This is a gorgeous Robert Kaufman Vintage Couturier Fabric with Doilies. This is a another I can see as decoration on my walls! This antique fabric would be very fun to work with.

What are some of your favorite Robert Kaufman fabrics? Let me know in the comments below.

Darling Retro Pinup Hair Snoods

I am very guilty of always having my hair up. I've tried to let it down more often because I know it's not the best to keep your hair up tight like I do! I was getting some ideas, then it dawned on me: snoods! Of course! A snood would make for a great way to keep my hair out of my face and to not strain it so much. Arthelia's Attic on Etsy has many colors of snoods to go with any outfit! Come take a look!

Spring is just around the corner and this Yellow Snood would be a fun way to liven up my hair style!

This is another spring color the Light Blue Snood. I definitely have a weakness for light blue and teal colors!

The White Snood would be great for any occasion and practically any outfit. Don't you guys love the bows on them? This one is one of my favorites. I am going to have a hard time choosing which one I like the most!

The Black Snood is another great basic color that would go well with just about anything. I have a feeling I would wear black more than white.

I feel like I've been covering all the gentle colors, but sometimes I like to be bright and bold. This Cherry Snood would stand out proudly. I feel like this embodies the 1940's vintage style!

Finally, this awesome Navy Blue Snood is great for all year round in most casual settings. It would be make a fun addition to a jean pants or a skirt.

There are plenty of colors offered, not just these six! Take a look at Arthelia's Attic on Etsy and let me know what you think.

Baking Themed Retro Kitchen Linens from Ulster Weavers

I think I mentioned how I had a kitchen fire not too long ago. I've been slowly but surely trying to replenish all the things that I had to get rid of. Many of my kitchen linens are now ruined, so when I ran into these Retro Themed Kitchen Linens from Ulster Weavers I knew I found the right store! Are any of these right for you and your kitchen? Take a look, you might be surprised!

I really needed to show my favorite apron first. Originally I was going to wait, but I couldn't! This Shirley Styled Apron embodies everything I love! Clearly, I love the retro style and the colors are wonderful, but I also love tea! This is a definite must get.

This Baking Tea Towel is also a keeper. I really enjoy baking and having this in my kitchen would be such a delight. It's also a nice reminder of all things I need to replace!

I am enjoying the classic look of this Poppy Red Spot Cotton Kitchen Apron. Polka dots never go out of style! This would be another great apron to have on hand if the other one is in the laundry.

My grandma would have loved this Free Range Apron. I would really love to get this in honor of her. However, I'm not a huge fan of chickens. Hrm.

I know this is a lot of birds, but this Geese Applique Styled Cotton Apron is very cute. I actually hate geese (apparently I'm not a bird person), but I really love the overall design of this apron.

I think that this Cat Linen Tea Towel is absolutely darling. The different designs and bright colors are very appealing to me. Plus, these are cats that decorate the towels! Who doesn't love cats?

I really don't want to be misunderstood as the crazy cat lady, but this Catwalk Cotton Apron is adorable. My favorite part of this is the vintage style of art that the cats are drawn in. It's colorful and fun, which is something I always like to bring in the kitchen.

Not only is this Doris Styled Apron very pretty, but the style is very fun! It looks as if the front is starting to form into a heart. This is my favorite style apron so far. I love the design, but tea will always win over roses!

There are plenty more retro themed kitchen linens from Ulster Weavers on Amazon to look at. I'm sure you'll find something that would fit your style and your vintage taste! Comment down below - which were your favorites?

Charming Reproduction Table Clocks from Creative Co-Op

I really love vintage clocks. Each one really represents the time and place in which they were made. A little play on words for you! It's true though, the styles are very definitive! These awesome Table Clocks from Creative Co-Op will surely entice any retro lover. Note: These are all reproductions, but they are still cool anyway!

This particular reproduction Yellow Metal Rustic Retro Table Clock reminds me of the classic Alice in Wonderland. I feel like this would be in the White Rabbit's house. I really enjoy the oval shape and pastel colors used. This would be a fun addition to your spring decor as well!

Does anyone else recall having this Metal Table Clock style clock in their home? Maybe this was in my grandparents house when I was a kid, but I definitely recognize this design. I always really liked the dark background with gold numerals on the face of the clock. This definitely makes me reminisce about my childhood.

This Pewter Table Clock with Metal Pocket Watch Stand is so much fun in this bright red color. Not only that, the face looks like a wristwatch, which is very cool.

My favorite retro designs are similar to this Metal Bottle Cap Wall Clock. I wish it said "tea" instead of "coffee", but it's still a very cute concept! I think it's very clever that the clock as a whole is shaped like a bottle cap.

The last clock I wanted to show you is this really elegant Shabby Cottage Chic Metal Bird Desk Clock. This also brings back memories for me as well. My grandmother used to have a very similar clock in her office. I love how it acts as functional decor. I remember my grandmother also having decorative birds around the house that looked very much like this one!

As you can see there are all kinds of repro clocks out there! Take a look at these charming Table Clocks from Creative Co-Op. Something is sure to catch your eye. Let me know what you think down below in the comments section.

Darling Cottage Shaped Tea Cosies

It's still cold enough that my tea starts to get chilly really quickly! I am in the process of restocking my kitchen items, since I lost a bunch of things to a kitchen fire this year. That's how I found these adorable Cottage Shaped Tea Cosies on Amazon. I like the concept of having a little home for my tea. This would be a great way to keep my tea warm for the rest of this season and next year!

This cute Cottage Doorstop Tea Cozy is made with cotton and has sand & polyester filling. This is bound to keep my tea warm with the sand! One of my favorite parts about this tea cozy is the little hearts decorating the rim of the roof. I also really enjoy the color.

I appreciate the classic cottage look quite a bit! This Cottage Shaped Decorative Tea Cosy It is made with cotton and polyester wadding. It Measures 10.6 x 9.4 inches, which would be a great fit for most of my teapots! This one is pretty adorable as far as the design goes. I'm in love with the rose embellishment.

I feel like I'm being biased in favoring this tea cozy, because it has the best picture. Here's an adorable Cottage Knitted Tea Cosy. I definitely love the little flower garden below the windows. This particular tea cozy also fits the color scheme of my house!

Retro Shop of the Week: The Head Vase Shop

Lady head vases were popular during the late 1940s and continued through the 1970's. Originally they were made by flower companies to hold small bouquets or individual flowers. The small openings on the very top helped to maximize sales by limiting the number of blossoms each container held. Clever! Following World War II these vases became very popular in Japan. The Head Vase Shop on Etsy sells many high quality and rare lady head vases.

I know Christmas is over, but this Vintage NAPCO Young Girl Christmas Head is just really precious. I think it would be a great way to display your flowers during the holidays. It was stamped in 1956 and made in Japan.

Another Japanese brand head vase is the Vintage Napcoware Doris Day. This one was made around the 1950s as well. It measures 5 ½ inches tall and 4 ½ inches wide.

I am infatuated with this particular vase. The Rare Lady Head Vase Pink Hat has very delicate yet also bold features. The daring lipstick and the huge yellow rose draw lots of attention while the delicate strokes on her eyelashes and hair make this piece one of a kind. It's very yin and yang and totally unique.

This pretty blonde vase would be fun to have during spring. This Vintage Lady Head Red Lips Vase could bring lots of character to any room. Her dark eyelashes and bright lipstick give her lots of spunk. When I think of head vases she is my personal staple.

When I think of classy women, I think of someone who looks exactly like this Lady Head Wearing Pearls Vase. Out of all the vases on The Head Vase Shop, I think her eye makeup is the best. She also reminds me of Lucille Ball.

I really enjoy most of these vases, but my favorite has to be this Young Girl Head Vase. There are technically two of them, but this style is the best in my opinion. The umbrella the little girl is holding would give a lot of character to flowers put on display. You could even color coordinate them!

There are plenty of vases by The Head Vase Shop on Etsy! Take a look and let me know what you think in the comments below!
